Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been invited to visit India.

Indian Prime Minister  Narendra Modi made the offer during today's nuclear safety summit in Washington and Trudeau accepted.

The two leaders held a bilateral meeting during a break from the summit discussions.

Trudeau's office said the leaders discussed trade, investment and climate change.

The Prime Minister's Office didn't give any indication on when Trudeau might make the visit.
