Now that Conservative MPs have rejected an opposition bid to have a House committee look into their MP's claim and subsequent retraction that he witnessed voter fraud, what will happen with Brad Butt?

Speaker Andrew Scheer ruled earlier this week that there's a prima facie case the Conservative MP breached parliamentary privilege when he told the House he had seen evidence of fraud with his own eyes, something that he later said wasn't true.

There will be more election talk on Parliament Hill on Thursday with the expected high profile appearance at committee of Canada's Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand. The head of Elections Canada has been critical of some of the proposed election law changes put forward by the government. 

Where does the fight over bill C-23 go from here? After the government refused to do so, the NDP have decided to hold their own hearings across the country.
