Kirkland Signature chocolate cookies recalled

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. have issued a voluntary recall of some Kirkland Signature brand cookies for fear they may contain pieces of metal.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. have issued a voluntary recall of some Kirkland Signature brand cookies for fear they may contain pieces of metal.

The recall affects Kirkland Signature brand Chocolate Lover's Cookies and Chocolate Chunk Cookies sold in Costco stores between July 26 and August 7.

The cookies were sold in clear plastic, 1.1-kilogram packages of 24.

There have been no reported injuries so far.

Costco Canada said it would be phoning all members who bought the cookies to warn them of the recall.

Kirkland Signature is Costco's house brand.
