        When B.C. actor Sarah Edmondson first joined the self-help organization NXIVM, it seemed inspiring and full of exciting epiphanies, but her escape 12 years later from the group some describe as a cult was frightening and followed by a painful process of "deprogramming" and a paralyzing fear of retribution.
