The late NDP leader Jack Layton said in his farewell letter to Canadians that treatments for cancer "have never been better." In a special report for The National, CBC News health reporter Kelly Crowe puts that statement to the test, particularly as it applies to prostate cancer, the first type of cancer Layton had to fight. She visits a support group called Man to Man and examines how men are coping with the disease.
