Shirtless Justin Bieber startles Polish airport officials
California neighbour accuses singer of battery
In another strange incident during his current tour, Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber startled Polish airport officials on Monday by parading through an airport shirtless.
After leaving his sold-out concert in the central Polish city of Lodz, the 19-year-old pop singer removed his shirt en route to the airport late Monday night.
Despite an outdoor temperature reported to be approximately -10 C, Bieber proceeded shirtless into the airport, through security and to his gate. He dressed before boarding a private jet.
"He wasn't told to take off his clothes. He had no metal objects on him," an airport spokeswoman told Reuters. "He's quite skinny so I assume he was probably freezing."
At his Los Angeles home, things were not going better for the singer, after a neighbour accused him on Tuesday of battery and making threats, authorities said.
No one was arrested and few details were immediately available.
Authorities were called to the scene in the affluent Calabasas neighbourhood just after 9 a.m., according to Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
"There have been allegations made against Mr. Bieber of battery and making threats," Whitmore said.
Bieber is currently on tour in Europe and his publicist could not be reached for comment.
The incident is the latest in a series of eccentric antics from the Stratford, Ont.-born singer.
He recently made headlines in London for appearing in public in a gas mask, starting a show late, suffering breathing problems mid-concert and scuffling with paparazzi outside of a hospital. Days later, he cancelled a concert in Lisbon on short notice.
