Second woman testifies Spector pulled gun on her

A woman who knew Phil Spector in the 1980s described an incident in which he threatened her at gunpoint and tried to force her to have sex with him.

A woman who knew Phil Spector in the 1980s described an incident in which he threatened her at gunpoint and tried to force her to have sex with him.

Dianne Ogden, a music talent co-ordinator who said she was a friend of Spector's, was testifying Monday at Spector's murder trial in the death of cult movie actress Lana Clarkson.

Ogden said Spector seemed to undergo a change of personality and became "demonic" during the 1989 incident.

"He was screaming at me, the F-word," she said. "He wasn't my Phil, not the man I loved. It wasn't him. He was demonic. It scared the hell out of me."

Spector put the gun against her face and neck and told her he would blow her brains out, she said.

He then forced her into a bedroom and tried to have sex with her, but did not.

Ogden said she was testifying because she was subpoenaed by the prosecution and that she forgave Spector because she thought he had a drinking problem.

Spector, a former pop producer known for his work in the 1960s and '70s, has pleaded not guiltyto killing Clarkson. She was found in his mansion dead of a gunshot wound to the mouth.

The prosecution is trying to establish that Spector has a pattern of threatening women with guns.

A former girlfriend, Dorothy Melvin, has also testified that Spector hit her and pointed a gun at her when she tried to leave his home.

Spectorleft her threatening phone messages, Melvin said. Those messages were played for the jury on Monday.

Ogden described a second incident in which Spector threatened her with an Uzi after a gathering with other friends at his house.

"He said, 'I have an Uzi with me and I'm going to kill you,"' she said. Spector ran after her with the Uzi in his hand but Ogden jumped into her car and gunned the engine, she testified.

That was the last time she ever saw him, she said.

Defence attorney Bruce Cutler suggested Ogden added things to her testimony that she had not told investigators.
