An FBI spokeswoman in Los Angeles says agents are investigating a series of computer hacking attacks on celebrities.

The FBI's Laura Eimiller said Wednesday that dozens of celebrities had been targeted by hackers, who stole personal information from email and other computer accounts.

She declined to provide further details, but several websites including TMZ have identified one of the victims as Scarlett Johansson.

TMZ is also reporting that Johansson's lawyer, Marty Singer, has warned a number of websites not to publish nude, hacked photos of the actress.

The American actress has appeared in movies Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Ironman 2, and is set to appear in next year's highly anticipated The Avengers. Johansson was married to Canadian-born actor Ryan Reynolds for two years before divorcing last year.

A message left with the actress's spokeswoman was not immediately returned.
