Samantha Bee to host new late-night show Full Frontal
Toronto comedian will be only female late-night host
Samantha Bee is heading back to late-night TV come January, with the Canadian comedian and Daily Show alumnus revealing the name of her forthcoming TBS show with a somewhat raunchy online video on Wednesday.
She formally unveiled the name of her "sharp, topical late-night comedy show" – Full Frontal with Samantha Bee – and emphasized that it would be the only one in the crowded field hosted by a woman.
Toronto-born Bee, who was one of The Daily Show's senior correspondents, first revealed in March that she'd be starting a new satirical news program for TBS. She'll be working with her husband: actor and fellow former Daily Show correspondent Jason Jones.

David Letterman's departure underscores the new laws of late-night TV
The late-night talk show timeslot has seen tremendous upheaval over the past few years, with longtime hosts like Jay Leno, David Letterman and Jon Stewart leaving to make way for fresher faces Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah.
Others, like Chelsea Handler and Craig Ferguson, left the late-night talk world, while Daily Show alums John Oliver and Larry Wilmore launched their own programs.
