British singer Adele will attend the Golden Globes ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday, her first public appearance since giving birth to a boy in October.

British singer Adele will attend the Golden Globes ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday, her first public appearance since giving birth to a boy in October.

Adele will not be performing, but attending as a nominee for her song Skyfall. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association hands out its annual awards Sunday night.

The award-winning singer will join the company of some of Hollywood's biggest movie stars, including fellow nominees like Ben Affleck, Daniel Day-Lewis, Helen Mirren, Leonardo DiCaprio, Anne Hathaway and Kevin Costner.

Adele gave birth to her first child with partner Simon Konecki in October and has since remained out of the public eye. Her album 21 has been the top-selling album in the U.S. for two consecutive years. It sold 4.4 million copies in 2012 after already selling 5.8 million in 2011.

Most recently, she co-wrote and performed the theme song for the latest James Bond film, Skyfall. It is competing in the category of best original song against:

  • Taylor Swift’s Safe & Sound from The Hunger Games.
  • Keith Urban’s For You from Act of Valor.
  • Jon Bon Jovi’s Not Running Anymore from Stand Up Guys.
  • Claude-Michel Schonberg’s Suddenly from Les Misérables. 

Sunday's Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be hosted by comedians Tina Fey of 30 Rock and Amy Poehler of Parks and Recreation.
