In the bustling, incredibly detailed metropolis of the title, animals of all species mix and mingle. But beneath the puns and anthropomorphic antics, Disney is exploring a story about race relations.
It's surprisingly sophisticated, finding new ways to get us to look past stereotypes, says CBC's Eli Glasner. Too bad the movie's conclusion isn't as inventive.
