Madonna to stop in Montreal on 'Confessions' Tour
Madonna will have one Canadian stop, in Montreal, during her Confessions tour beginning this spring.
The Material Girl, now a Material Mom, announced a world tour on Monday with other stops in the U.S., Europe and Japan.
"I'm going to turn the world into one big dance floor," the singer said in a statement.
The tour, the first she's done since 2004, will support her 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor.
It will open May 21 in Los Angeles and work east through North America with stops in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, New York, Boston and Miami.
She will be at the Bell Centre in Montreal on June 21.
Madonna will make her first festival performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., on April 30, alongside Daft Punk and Massive Attack.
"I've never performed at a festival and I'm especially excited about playing at Coachella before I start my own tour," the singer said.
The Grammy winner took the British NME's sexiest woman honour this year, despite being 47 and a mother of two.
