One of the images, released Thursday by Buckingham Palace, shows the Queen with her two youngest grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Shown with the Queen are:
- Eight-year-old James, Viscount Severn, left, and 12-year-old Lady Louise, second left, the children of the Earl and Countess of Wessex;
- Mia Tindall, holding the Queen's handbag, the two-year-old-daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall;
- Five-year-old Savannah, third right, and three-year-old Isla Phillips, right, daughters of the Queen's eldest grandson Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn;
- Two-year-old Prince George, second right, and in the Queen's arms and in the tradition of royal portraiture, her youngest great-grandchild, 11-month-old Princess Charlotte, children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Another image shows the Queen on the steps of Windsor Castle with four of her beloved dogs: corgis Willow and Holly and dorgis Vulcan and Candy.
A third shot shows the Queen with her daughter, Princess Anne.

A 2007 Leibovitz royal photo shoot caused a stir when a trailer for a BBC documentary suggested the Queen had abruptly walked out.
The BBC later said the footage had been misleadingly edited.
American photographer Leibovitz is known for her celebrity portraiture, including iconic shots of famous faces such as John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Demi Moore, Sylvester Stallone, Whoopi Goldberg and Caitlyn Jenner, as well as her work for Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair magazines.
