Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga among Met Gala stars flouting social media ban
Madonna, actress Kerry Washington and model Cara Delevingne also broke the no-picture rule
Justin Bieber and Madonna are just two of the celebrities who boldly broke Anna Wintour's reported rules around social media at Monday night's Met Gala in New York, and posted the prohibited pictures online.
According to a number of reports, Wintour, a Met Gala co-chair and the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, banned celebrities from taking selfies inside the swanky event, which attracts the who's who from the worlds of fashion, television, film and music.

Some have speculated that the prohibition on personal photography was an effort to give Vogue photographers greater editorial control of highly-prized pictures coming out of the exclusive event. Others suggest that Wintour was simply trying to increase privacy and comfort for the Met Gala's well-heeled guests.
Scandal star Kerry Washington seemed too star struck by her run-in with Grammy-winning songstress Alicia Keys to care about the restriction.

And Justin Bieber broke the rules, not once, but twice, posting snaps of himself with fellow pop superstar Lady Gaga, and British model Cara Delevingne.

Model Behati Prinsloo appeared to break the rules with a number of attractive accomplices, including Delevingne, Zoe Kravitz and Kendall Jenner, in what looks like the mirror of the ladies' bathroom.

Madonna happily played the rebel by posting this selfie with celebrity super-couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, with the caption "From the inside looking out!" and a hashtag which contained explicit language and a typo.

Mrs. Kanye West also skirted the social media ban a number of times sharing several snapshots in her Instagram account, though none of them appeared to be taken by herself.
The reality TV star and frequent selfie-taker gave credit to her husband for a much-talked about rear-view photo of herself and her "idol" Jennifer Lopez.
