'Women love very hard': Lady Gaga on romance and price of fame
Pop superstar tells CBS Sunday Morning she misses 'meeting a random person and saying hi'
Lady Gaga is getting candid about relationships, the cost of fame, and how she "misses people".
In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the pop superstar, who's promoting her latest album Joanne, said there's a freedom in creating new music that she can't always enjoy in real life.
"I'm very acutely aware that once I cross that property line, I'm not free anymore," she said in regards to her privacy.
"As soon as I go out into the world, I belong, in a way, to everyone else. It's legal to follow me. It's legal to stalk me at the beach. I can't call police or ask them to leave."
The Paparazzi singer also spoke about the difficulties of relationships. Gaga broke up with fiancé actor Taylor Kinney earlier this year after five years together.
"I think women love very hard. We just love with everything we have. And sometimes I don't know that that love is met with the type of dignity that we wish it would be met with."
Gaga, who will headline the high-profile Super Bowl half-time show Feb. 5, 2017 in Houston, Texas, became emotional when talking about the expectations of her and the lack of anonymity.
"I miss people. I miss going anywhere and meeting a random person and saying 'hi' and having a conversation about life."
