Hyena Road, My Internship in Canada ask what kind of country we want

Afghan war film Hyena Road and political tale My Internship in Canada are two dramatically different films hitting theatres, but both ask timely, tough questions about what kind of country we want.

Directed by and starring Paul Gross, Hyena Road plunks the audience down into the middle of a modern military dilemma and offers an unflinching look at the price of peace, says CBC's Eli Glasner, who gives the film 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Meanwhile, Philippe Falardeau has a light touch when skewering every party in My Internship in Canada, a gentle farce that nonetheless shows how our political system is broken. 3 out of 5 stars.
