Festival d'été de Québec unveils lineup: Selena Gomez, Brad Paisley, Fetty Wap, Sheryl Crow

Organizers of the Quebec City summer music festival unveiled on Tuesday an eclectic bill bursting with big international names - despite the low Canadian dollar.

Duran Duran, Rammstein, Alessia Cara, Coeur de Pirate also on diverse bill

Selena Gomez, Brad Paisley, Fetty Wap, Bryan Ferry, Sheryl Crow and The Lumineers are among the major acts heading to Quebec City this summer for the annual Festival d'été de Québec.

Organizers of the Quebec City summer music festival unveiled on Tuesday an eclectic bill bursting with big names from a diverse range of genres, from 80s and 90s favourites to some of today's chart-toppers.

The annual 11-day event typically attracts tens of thousands of people to the Plains of Abraham.

"We're proud to announce a lineup featuring more musical styles than ever before: rock, pop, adult contemporary, metal, country, indie, Americana, folk, hip-hop and electro," program director Louis Bellavance said in a statement.

"I would say that this is the strongest program we've given our fans in years."

Among one of Canada's prominent events of the summer season, the festival is known for offering major names, along with local favourites.

Past performers have included the Roling Stones, Elton John, Arcade Fire, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.

This year's strong slate stands out in particular because the low Canadian dollar has dramatically affected many music festivals across the country, forcing organizers to cut back on A-list acts and international names and focus on Canadian artists or, in some cases, to cancel this summer's editions.
