Courtney Love set to tell all in new memoir

Hard-living rocker Courtney Love is ready to tell all.

The singer best known for her marriage to Kurt Cobain and notorious for her involvement with drugs will "set the record straight" with a new memoir, says publisher HarperCollins.

Love is frontwoman of grunge band Hole and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in The People Vs Larry Flynt.

The memoir will detail her childhood raised by hippies, her rock and film career, her relationship with Cobain and with her daughter and her own drug abuse and recovery, HarperCollins said in a statement Thursday.

"True to form, Love will hold nothing back in the telling of her life story, making this one of the most powerful, important, and most highly anticipated rock and roll memoirs of all time," the publisher said.

The memoir, which Love will write the help of author Anthony Bozza, is scheduled for publication in fall 2012.
