Carly Rae Jepsen is riding high in New York, with the Mission, B.C. singer starring in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and her face emblazoned on tour buses across the city.

On Tuesday, the pop star was unveiled as the 2014 Ride of Fame honouree in Manhattan — with her face set to gaze out from Gray Line's red double-decker tour buses.

She spoke about her whirlwind experience in the Big Apple.

"I have fallen in love with Broadway. I've always had a great passion for theatre," she told CBC News.

"I feel like it's something that I will never forget."

In the attached video, the 28-year-old singer talks to CBC News about playing the fairy-tale princess, how doing community theatre in Mission was like bootcamp for Broadway and about working on her new album.
