Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition unclear 6 days after she was found in a bathtub
Whitney Houston's daughter, 21, found unresponsive in a bathtub nearly 1 week ago
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of American singing sensation Whitney Houston and R&B bad boy Bobby Brown, remains on life support at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Friday, according to People magazine.
The celebrity publication also reported that family members are gathering to say goodbye, but Bobby Brown has been working to dispel any speculation that he was ready to pull the plug.
"If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day," Brown's lawyer told CBS Thursday. "This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place."
Numerous media reports Thursday suggested that doctors had removed Bobbi Kristina from artificial assistance.
Still unresponsive
Bobbi Kristina is the sole heir to Whitney Houston's vast recording fortune. The I Will Always Love You singer was also found unresponsive in a bathtub on Feb. 11, 2012, and later died. Heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors in Houston's death.
Legal authority over Bobbi Kristina's health care and money could become a critical issue for the fractious Houston-Brown family, which has said that Bobbi Kristina "is fighting for her life."
Conflicting reports
Bobby Brown has also tried to set the record straight when it comes to his daughter's marital status.
Gordon has not spoken publicly since Bobbi Kristina was found in the tub. Police said he attempted to revive her while a friend called 911, and that she was alive when rushed to a hospital.
Whitney Houston never formally adopted Gordon, but raised the two teenagers together after divorcing Brown.
Police called to family fight
Atlanta police said one of Bobby Brown's relatives hit another relative in the head with a bottle during a fight at a hotel.
Police spokeswoman Kim Jones said officers responded to the W Hotel early Friday in midtown, though the reason for the fight was unclear.
Police said Tina Brown hit Shayne Brown in the head with a bottle. Police did not specify their relationships to the entertainer or to each other.
Tina Brown left the scene before police arrived. Shayne Brown had cuts on his head and drove himself to a hospital.
