Alec Baldwin returns to SNL as Donald Trump, who's still not laughing
Baldwin portrayed president-elect as panicked and ill-prepared, takes shot at Mike Pence and Hamilton fiasco
Alec Baldwin reprised his role as Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live for the first time since the U.S. election.
The cold open sketch saw Baldwin/Trump meeting with a number of staffers, including his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, played by Kate McKinnon. McKinnon played Hillary Clinton in previous weeks.
"I just want to thank you for all you've done, I wouldn't be president without you," Baldwin/Trump told McKinnon/Conway.
McKinnon/Conway pauses before responding hesitantly: "I think about that every day."
Dazed and confused
Baldwin/Trump also shared an uncomfortably long handshake with Mitt Romney, played by SNL alum Jason Sudeikis, after which both agreed "this isn't going to work."
The show portrayed Trump as overwhelmed by his upcoming presidential duties.
After a general enters the office and says he's looking forward to hearing about Trump's secret plan to fight ISIS, Baldwin/Trump returns to his desk, trying not to panic, and Googles: "What is ISIS?" He then tries to get help from the Siri function on his phone.
Trump himself says he caught parts of SNL. On Sunday he tweeted his dislike for it — again.
"It is a totally one-sided, biased show — nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?" he posted.

Hamilton jab
In a last-minute addition to the script, SNL also got in a jab about Mike Pence attending the musical Hamilton Friday. The vice-president-elect was booed and the cast directed a statement to him about diversity and equality at the end of the Broadway show.
In the sketch, Baldwin/Trump met with Mike Pence, played by Beck Bennett.
"I heard you went to see Hamilton, how was that?" Baldwin/Trump asks.
"It was good," said Pence with a straight face. "I got a free lecture."
Trump lashes out
The reference clearly didn't sit well with Trump, who called the hit Broadway production "overrated" and demanded an apology for a second time.
The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior

After realizing how difficult it will be to stick to his promises of repealing Obamacare, deporting illegal immigrants and hiring a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton, Baldwin's Trump tells Pence to just skip it all.
"Scrap it. She didn't do anything," Baldwin/Trump says.
The host was former SNLer and Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig with musical guests The xx.
Baldwin fights back
Baldwin took on the role of Trump at the beginning of the season in the run-up to the election and it's unclear how long he'll remain in the role. But judging from his response to Trump on Twitter, he might be staying a little longer.
The actor retweeted his foundation's messages aimed directly at Trump's online comments about the show.
"Equal time? Election is over. There is no more equal time. Now u try 2 b Pres + ppl respond. That's pretty much it," said one tweet.
"You know what I would do if I were Prez? I'd be focused on how to improve the lives of AS MANY AMERICANS AS POSSIBLE."
He followed up with several more before ending on this:"I could go on. You want more advice, call me. I'll be at SNL."
