The election announcement today had Albertans from across the province weighing in online.

Some people lamented the lack of change in Alberta's politics, which has seen the PC party in power since 1971, and the cost of an election that may not bring much change.

"I got a fist full of fifties, tequila just hit me. Oh, we got no class, no taste, no shirt, shit faced," blared the tune during the event in Edmonton.
