Windsor man faces animal cruelty charges after dog allegedly starved to death

The Windsor-Essex County Humane Society has laid animal cruelty charges against a Windsor man after his dog was allegedly starved to death.
The animal was discovered in an abandoned building near the corner of Louis Avenue and Cataraqui Street on March 8.
The man has been charged with causing distress to an animal and failing to provide adequate food.
If convicted he could face up to two years in jail or a $60,000 fine.
The man will appear in court on August 28.
