Local businesses had a chance to network with the teams short listed to build the Gordie Howe International Bridge.

Contractors met in Windsor with the three groups that are in the running to win the project's contract Wednesday.

Jennifer Jean Corey works for Siemens, which is looking to land contracts for several jobs, including heating and cooling, light installation and security systems.

There are "a lot of people here that I actually know from the industry and a lot of people that want to work together," she said. "I think it's very indicative of the area and the fact that we're all hungry and we all want to get the job done."

Officials from the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority is holding a similar meeting in Detroit today.
