Murder charges after victim in violent west-end assault dies
Windsor police laid murder charges against one Windsor resident and issued an arrest warrant for three others in a vicious Oct. 19 attack at a west Windsor apartment complex.
The 26-year-old male victim was allegedly lured to a Tim Horton's on Howard Avenue and taken by the four individuals, who beat, cut and stabbed him.
"Many of the individuals in the investigation are known to the police," Staff Sgt. Todd Cox said. "This was not a random act. All persons involved know each other, so I want to reassure the community on that fact."
The victim was found the morning after he was taken in a Mill Street apartment beaten with his hands bound, police say. Emergency crews took him to the hospital where he later died from those injuries.
