Uber to offer its services in Windsor starting Thursday
Uber Canada says that people living in Windsor will be able to use its UberX ride-sharing services as of Thursday afternoon.
Uber Canada says that people living in Windsor will be able to use its UberX ride-sharing services as of Thursday afternoon.
The company has issued a news release announcing that UberX will be available in Windsor, Kingston and in Ontario's Niagara region as of 3 p.m. Thursday.
The news release says that all "rideshare drivers who partner with Uber" must pass a criminal background check.
Mayor Drew Dilkens recently said he would welcome Uber's entry to Windsor and that he sees the company as "the wave of the future."
