Sandwich Towne post office to become coffee shop, city says
The City of Windsor says the former Canada Post Office in Olde Sandwich Towne will become a coffee shop.

John Calhoun, the city's heritage planner, told CBC News of the plans Friday.
The old post office was sold recently to a numbered company from Ontario for $151,000.
Calhoun said what used to be the old post master's residence on the top floor of the three-story heritage building could be turned into apartments.
Dave Grimaldi is the Executive Director of the Sandwich Improvement Area association. He said with the old fire station in Sandwich turning into a library and a microbrewery opening down the street form the old post office, the neighbourhood is moving in a positive direction.
"I think if we are able to turn [the post office] into something where we can provide some sort of retail, some sort of commercial space and some sort of residential space, anytime you can add people living in the area then they're going to use the amenities that we have so I think it's a good fit," he said.
"I think it's a real coup for this area."
