Robert Salvatore Powers filed his nomination papers Wednesday to become Chatham-Kent's mayor — a decision he has reflected on "long time."
"If it takes folding tables in the back of a pickup truck, I want you to know that I am going to make it happen. I am going to bring your municipal government to your front door," said Powers, who currently works as a slot technician at Gateway Casinos in Dresden.
The race is on
There are now four people trying to become Chatham-Kent's mayor:
- Randy Hope — incumbent
