Shots fired at a home in East Windsor were the result of a "targeted incident," according to police.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Ellrose Avenue — near St. Paul's United Church — Thursday at 11:55 p.m. for reports of possible gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers found a home on the street displayed damage through the windows and inside the property which was consistent with a bullet.

Police say there were no injuries. The Major Crimes Branch is investigating and reviewing any surveillance video from the area.

Sgt. Steve Betteridge said it's "very concerning" whenever a gun is discharged in the city — but adds he is "confident" there is no direct threat to public safety since the shooting is believed to be targeted.
