Loaded shotgun found in car, 4 Windsor suspects charged

Four people from Windsor are facing firearm charges after police found a loaded shotgun they believe to be stolen after searching a vehicle Wednesday.

Four people from Windsor are facing firearm charges after police found a loaded shotgun they believe to be stolen after searching a vehicle Wednesday.   

Officers were investigating a man suspect who they believed to be disobeying conditions of his probation, ordering him to stay in his residence. 

Police found the man getting into a vehicle with two other men and a woman. 

During a search of the vehicle police found a loaded shotgun under the driver seat. 

The gun is believed to have been stolen during a previous break and enter. 

All four face charges that include possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence. 

The suspect police were investigating also faces charges for failing to comply with conditions of his probation after he was found in possession of a loaded handgun last fall.
