Windsor police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old woman from Mississauga, Ont. in connection to the death of Jason Pantlitz-Solomon.

Pantlitz-Solomon was a 20-year-old University of Windsor student. He died last August after being shot outside of Pizza Pizza in downtown Windsor.

Police say they travelled to the Peel Region on June 5 to arrest the suspect.

Keima Davis-Baynes is charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Police previously said in October that they believe the homicide to be "a targeted incident." At that time, they were looking for two male suspects and said they were in possession of a firearm.

On the night of the shooting, there was also a 19-year-old woman, an acquaintance of the victim, who received a gunshot wound to her leg.

Officers continue to investigate the case.
