Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent closed for hours after transport truck carrying turkeys crashes
Driver taken by air ambulance to trauma centre with 'non-life threatening' injuries, says OPP
The driver of a transport truck involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent early Thursday is in hospital, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Their injuries are described as "non-life threatening," police said, and the driver was transported to a trauma centre by air ambulance.
The transport truck was hauling turkeys when it rolled over around 5:45 a.m. ET, OPP said.

The highway has been closed for several hours, in both directions, between Bloomfield Road and Communication Road.
Police are asking drivers to adjust their routes and avoid the stretch of highway.
