Holy Names High School choir to perform at Carnegie Hall
Windsor's Holy Names Catholic High School choir was selected out of 250 choirs across Canada and the United States to perform at New York City's Carnegie Hall.
Music teacher Rose Jobin said the students reorganize the opportunity is a big deal.
"The kids right now are looking forward to it and they come out in full force for rehearsals," said Jobin.
Singer and student Ginger Bridgewater said this will be her first trip to the Big Apple.
"I actually got kind of nervous, but perviously we went to Florida so I was a bit used to it," said Bridgewater. "I knew with the choir, we were going to sound really good and it was going to be fun."
The 33-member choir head to the New York City on Thursday and will take the iconic stage on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
The will perform a mix of songs, including some in Latin.
