The health unit didn't say how many - if any - bike accidents have been attributed to Pokemon Go since the game launched this month.
The warning comes about a week before Pokemon Go players are set to take over Dieppe Park in downtown Windsor.
Players of the popular augmented reality smartphone game are going to gather the park Monday to catch all the Pokemon characters they can.
They will end the night by eating wings at a downtown restaurant.
The event is being billed as the Pokemon Go Windsor Pokewalk and Wings.
It's being organized by the WE Play Pokemon group, billed on Facebook as "Windsor and Essex County's Information Source for Pokemon."
The game allows players to capture, battle, train, and trade virtual Pokemon characters who appear in in the real world.
