Construction will funnel traffic under Ambassador Bridge on one street for weeks
Peter Street is the only way to access Sandwich Town from University of Windsor
Construction work under the Ambassador Bridge is funneling traffic through a single street between Sandwich Town and the University of Windsor.
Road closure signs were set up Monday morning on Wyandotte Street, limiting motorists looking to travel under the bridge to Peter Street.

It was about a fifteen minute delay for vehicles trying to travel through that part of town Monday afternoon.
"It's dangerous for students that are trying to cross the street because this is the only entry to Sandwich Town," said Jade Roy, a University of Windsor student.
Roy spent part of the day searching for answers from the City of Windsor but said no one was able to tell her how long the current road closures will be in place.
The work on Wyandotte Street will continue until mid-November, according to a spokesperson for the City of Windsor.
