Pillette Village has held a Cinco de Mayo celebration every year since 2012. (Jonathan Pinto/CBC) The rest of North America, on the other hand, marks the victory of Mexican forces in the Battle of Puebla with increasing fervour.
Windsor is no exception.
At Palenque Fresh Mexican Cuisine in Pillette Village, Cinco de Mayo is the restaurant's busiest day of the year.
