Hotel reservations booked through June 16 have all been cancelled. Future hotel reservations beyond that date will remain booked until further notice.
Searching for an end
Unifor Local 444 has been in preliminary talks with both Caesars Windsor and the provincial conciliator, according to union president David Cassidy.
"I don't like to see them have to cancel shows but it's only two weeks here and I'm hoping we can get a resolve," he said.
As for Ariius nightclub, they have seen more than 50 of their part-time workers left out of a job. President Kash Hasan said the effect of the strike on the downtown core has been "devastating."
"We hope for this to be over as soon as possible so our team can get back to work ... The province needs to step in and take charge and get people back to work immediately," he said.
