CAA launches worst roads campaign
Canadian Automobile Association wants to hear about a wide variety of problems with streets or highways
Voting is under way for the Canadian Automobile Association's annual campaign to find the worst roads in Ontario.
But the survey is not just about potholes, according to Raymond Chan, of CAA. He says the association wants to hear about a wide variety of problems with streets or highways.
"We're looking for things such as congestion, timing of traffic signals, so we encourage all road users, regardless of your mode of transportation, to really let us know what some of the challenges are with your daily commute."
Chan says the campaign is aimed at pressuring governments into spending money to fix problematic roads.
Windsor stood out two years ago when Tecumseh Road East was deemed the worst road in southwestern Ontario. The thoroughfare took top spot while Wyandotte Street East placed fifth.
