Police investigating fatal motor vehicle collision on University Avenue

Police are continuining to investigate investigating a serious collision on the city's west end after one of three people taken to hospital died on Feb. 7

Windsor police are continuing to investigate a November 2019 motor vehicle collision on the city's west end after one of three people taken to hospital died on Feb. 7.

According to police, a vehicle collided with the Hot-Star restaurant on University Avenue West around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 11.

Police closed off the road between Campbell and Bridge Avenue at about 3 a.m., before it was reopened at about 12:30 p.m.

The vehicle's adult female driver and an adult male passenger were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A third person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The adult male passenger died in February. 

The silver Jeep Liberty appears to have hit first a light pole and then the building.
