'Where'd the night go?' documentary looks at Toronto's vanishing live music venues

Thanks to explosive growth in Toronto's real estate market, early 2017 saw a number of the city's live music venues shut down in rapid succession. It's prompted fears of a "homogeneous" Toronto culture and a cityscape composed entirely of "condos and restaurants."

"Where'd the night go?" is a Radio-Canada documentary that goes behind the scenes with Toronto's DIY venue operators, musicians, DJs and promoters that fuel the city's music scene and asks what can be done to keep it healthy and vibrant.
