Hordes of commuters took to Twitter this morning during a massive TTC service shutdown caused by a hydro vault fire. 

Most of them weren't very happy.

Some commuters got a little cheeky about the delays.

A couple of official voices were thankful for backup from transit services.

If you were especially lucky today, you had the option this person did.

The subway is now back up and running but more commuter woes are on the way this afternoon. A winter storm has started dumping snow on the city and it isn't expected to stop until tomorrow morning.
