TTC subway passengers dealt with 'absolutely brutal' commute
Passengers faced 30-minute delay between Finch and Bloor stations
TTC subway passengers dealt with a "brutal" commute this morning as a number of factors combined to create significant delays on the Yonge-University line (Line 1).
A fire at Davisville station caused delays and three unrelated passenger emergency alarms led to further problems.
An operator on Line 1 told subway passengers the following over a subway train intercom: "I want to take the time to apologize for this absolutely brutal commute this morning."
Due to earlier delay, customers will experience a 30 minute longer than normal travel time, on Line 1 both ways between Finch & Bloor Stns.
