1-2 TTC employees are assaulted every day
Two men have been sentenced to jail for assaulting TTC employees, according to the transit agency.
Moses Sanderson, 61, has been sentenced to four months in jail for slapping a female customer service ambassador working at Bloor-Yonge Station and spitting at her and another employee in August.
TTC special constables arrested Sanderson shortly after the incident. He has a criminal record that includes three previous incidents of assaulting streetcar operators.

Mathew Lidster, 27, has also been sentenced to around four months in jail for a separate incident that took place in July in which he punched a bus driver in the head without warning, the TTC said.
Toronto police arrested Lidster and charged him with assault. He pleaded guilty and has also been placed on probation for two years in addition to the jail time.
On average, one to two employees are assaulted every day and even more are threatened physically, according to the TTC.
