The storm — driven by the remnants of Hurricane Patricia merging with a clipper system coming from the west — could generate between 40-60 millimetres of rainfall.
Strong wind gusts between 40-70 km/h are also possible during the storm and could cause some tree damage, especially closer to the lakeshore where they'll be stronger.
This morning's commute was also dangerous for pedestrians. At least 12 people were stuck by vehicles, Toronto police said, though all are expected to recover.
