A Porter Airlines flight bound for Washington, D.C., from Toronto made an unscheduled landing on Sunday after smoke was detected on board.

A Porter Airlines flight bound for Washington, D.C. made an unscheduled landing on Sunday after smoke was detected on board.
The crew detected smoke in the flight deck and some in the cabin, according to Porter. The plane was diverted to Williamsport, Pa., where it landed safely and the smoke cleared.
No one was injured, according to Porter spokesman Brad Cicero.
The plane had departed Toronto's Billy Bishop Airport at 8 a.m. Sunday.
Porter said another plane has been sent to take the 66 passengers the rest of the way to Washington.
