Man critically injured in west-end Toronto house fire
A man in his 50s remains in critical condition after a house fire in Toronto's west end Thursday night, emergency services say.

A man in his 50s remains in critical condition after a house fire in Toronto's west end Thursday night, emergency services say.
The blaze broke out in a home on Oakwood Avenue south of St. Clair Avenue W., according to Toronto Fire..
Firefighters were called to the home at about 9:35 p.m. The fire was declared under control by 10:45 p.m.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke. Firefighters rescued one person from the property, Toronto Fire said.
A woman also sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries in the blaze, and several other people were displaced. It's not clear when those people may be able to return to their residences.
Firefighters remained on scene Friday morning to investigate how the fire may have started.
