Pint-sized Gord Downie costume steals the internet's heart
Toddler's mom pays tribute to the Hip with incredibly detailed Man Machine Poem tour outfit
It's almost as good as having Gord Downie show up on your doorstep.
Instead, two-and-a-half-year-old Bentley Davidson is stepping out this Halloween in Trenton, Ont., in a costume that pays homage to the Tragically Hip singer's iconic outfit from the recent Man Machine Poem tour.
We're talking pitch perfect here — think sparkly pants, Jaws T-shirt, top hat and microphone.

His mother, Shannon White, is a lifelong Hip fan.
"Like every other Canadian I grew up surrounded by the Hip," she said. "I was watching the final concert and I thought it would be pretty cool if we did a tribute to Gord."

White went to work finding the costume's elements, ordering sparkly fabric from the U.S. and altering a T-shirt to fit her son.
The costume even includes a little bit of Downie — a handkerchief he tossed into the crowd at a concert a few years ago.
As for Bentley, White said her son gets about "10 per cent" of his costume.
"He knows who the Hip are, he bops along to their music," she said.
Pictures of Bentley's costume have blown up online, and were shared by the official Tragically Hip Facebook page.
"I think Gord might have seen it," said White.
It's not the first time White has gone all out for Bentley's costume. Last year, the little guy dressed up as an adorably spooky Edward Scissorhands, the title character of the 1990 movie.
