The Jays are still playing ball and it's patio weather: It is October, right?
Jay Scotland breaks down the summer-like weather in the fall
Get ready for another day of summer-like temperatures — in mid-October!
It may be early in the day but temperatures across southern Ontario are already well above seasonal values for a daytime high, which is around 13 C.
The mercury is set to soar even higher this afternoon as strong southwest winds drive in more heat and humidity.
This strong southwest flow of warm air is being ushered in by an approaching cold front to our west.
Gusty winds will continue to increase this afternoon as the front approaches, driving temperatures up to the 25 to 27 C range across the Golden Horseshoe.
Don't expect this heat to stick around, though.
While still above seasonal, temperatures will likely top out just below the 20 C mark tomorrow with seasonal temperatures returning for the rest of the week.
