Sina Parsi homicide: Toronto slaying suspects ditch dog, on the run
Clyde Marshall and Sabrina Chouart could be en route to lower mainland, Vancouver police say
Two suspects wanted for first-degree murder have ditched their dog and could be far from Toronto, police are warning on Tuesday.
Clyde Marshall, 36, of New Brunswick and Sabrina Chouart, 27, of Gatineau, Que. have been on the run since early last Tuesday morning, when they fled their Toronto apartment, leaving the body of Sina Parsi behind, Toronto police allege.
Police found Parsi's body three days later and immediately issued arrest warrants for Marshall and Chouart.
In La Pêche, Que., Chouart's father made an emotional plea to his daughter to turn herself in on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Timmins, Ont. police reported there had been an unconfirmed sighting of the pair on Monday. Vancouver police, meanwhile, said the pair may be headed for the lower mainland.
On Monday, Winnipeg police warned the public there that Marshall and Chouart could already be in Manitoba.
Toronto homicide Det. Shawn Mahoney had said at a Monday news conference that Marshall and Chouart lack the sophistication to flee the country and said they'd likely be hitch-hiking instead of taking buses or trains because they're travelling with their large dog.
But police now have to re-calculate, after the couple's dog was found chained to a fence in Toronto.
Anyone who comes across Marshall and Chouart is being urged not to approach the couple and to contact 911 immediately. Marshall is known to police in Saint John, N.B., for various violent offences involving weapons, police there said.
Marshall was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a red design on the chest. Chouart was dressed in a bright blue jacket.
