Mayor Ford had to push his way through a pack of reporters just to get lunch on Wednesday

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford barrelled his way through reporters and cameras — in some instances actually physically pushing members of the media — on a break from an executive committee meeting.

Media were focused on Ford on Wednesday after revelations he was drinking on Monday night, after he pledged not to drink ever again. He was caught on video in a restaurant imitating a Jamaican accent, using profanity and commenting on Toronto police Chief Bill Blair.

He said on Tuesday he was drinking on his "own time." He has not commented on the incident since then.

It is not the first time the mayor and the press have been in physical confrontations. When Ford found media on his driveway on October 31 — the day the police surveillance documents were released — he angrily pushed them off his property.
